Mid-air course correction plus additional vertical and horizontal movement is a very powerful ability to have in a game where quick and precise platforming is rewarded. It's even secretly a triple jump -- grappling a platform or wall with your whip will reset your mid-air jump, allowing you to jump > jump > whip grapple > jump again!
Quick Whip decreases the time it takes for your whip to crack or connect with a platform, but does NOT reduce the cooldown of your grapple.

in its current state it offers very little reason to try new whips once you find the ones you like. In the previous versions of the game to spice up the run I could try a new whip and because the whip was cursed it adds a new extra challenge. And the reward for winning with the curse was a non Phantom Abyss cursed version of the whip where you just had the unique whip benefit.
Phantom Abyss is a massive asynchronous multiplayer game that casts players into procedurally-generated temples and tasks them with retrieving the sacred relics hidden within deadly chambers.
Soul Armor's best use is as a panic button; if you find yourself overwhelmed with Guardians or traps, or are falling into a bottomless pit, activate your armor and get yourself to safety ASAP, because your invulnerability will not last very long. Your charges are limited, so don't just waste it on barreling through simple traps.
The cleverest players will use the phantom runs of failed attempts from other players to their advantage and avoid the missteps and mistakes that led to their doom.
